Good  and  (same-old) Bad news -

The bad-  At 3pm on June 30, Partners re-announced plans to close down Union Hospital services within 3 years. Read article here... http://www.bostonglobe.com/…/jLNEf2cjL0h5tXfzVFb…/story.html

The good-  At 6:30pm on the same day, Save Union Hospital advocates submitted 12 pages of signatures for a petition to open a public hearing with Lynn City Council, i.e. requesting the Attorney General open an investigation on NSMC. Signatures are being verified, and we are still collecting more signatures if needed. Secondly, there needs to be a different public hearing for Salem Hospital's expansion... (we will be there too).  Local news failed to mention our efforts.
